Welcome to the tropical rainforest ... our rain in 2009. Every biological reserve is interested in knowing their biotic and abiotic components. Since 2008 Tirimbina Rainforest Center has been taking weather data with the purpose of providing this important information to researchers and tourists.
Rainfall and temperature are two key elements for maintaining a tropical rainforest ecosystem, promoting a high diversity of species that can live only under these special conditions and are unique in the world. In Tirimbina for example we have recorded over 100 species of mammals, 300 birds and in our plant inventory we have identified over 1200 species in one year.
